Welcoming James McAra And Sage Clarke To BVP

We are pleased to welcome James McAra as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Sage Clarke as Fund Development Coordinator at BVP.

James brings more than three decades of community leadership experience across Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories. His career includes helping build grassroots nonprofits, leading one of Calgary’s largest social service organizations for 15 years and guiding organizations through important periods of transition.

Sage brings a strong background in community service and relationship building. During six years with the Town of Canmore, most recently as Parks and Cemetery Coordinator, she worked closely with local families and community members. Having lived in Canmore for nine years, Sage also brings a meaningful connection to the community she now serves through BVP.

Together, James and Sage bring valuable leadership, local knowledge and community-focused experience as BVP continues strengthening its programs and advancing the Pestell Centre for Compassionate Care.

2024-2025 Bow Valley Palliative Impact Report

Bow Valley Palliative is proud to share our 2024–2025 Impact Report, presenting a reflection of another year supporting individuals and families across the Bow Valley with compassion, dignity, and community-centered care. This year’s report highlights the continued growth of our programs, the dedicated work of our volunteers, and the responsible stewardship of the financial resources entrusted to us. We are so grateful to the commitment of our volunteers, donors, supporters, and team who have made this work possible.

Inside, you’ll find a brief financial overview demonstrating how donor support directly fuels essential services, along with a glimpse of our expanding volunteer network and the impact of their contributions in our communities. Looking forward, our vision includes expanding access to programs, strengthening caregiver support, and continuing to build a network of compassionate care throughout the Valley.
