Golf for Hospice
Every August, Bow Valley Palliative hosts an annual golf tournament to raise awareness about palliative and hospice care in the Bow Valley. We’re already gearing up for another incredible day on the green — Golf for Hospice 2025 is happening on August 21st!

Pals for Palliative
Every May Bow Valley Palliative has hosted Hike for Hospice during National Hospice Palliative Care Week. Through this event and week BVP promotes and fundraises for hospice, end of life, and palliative care in the Bow Valley.
In 2025, Hike was incorporated into our new event Pals for Palliative providing our community with a wide range of options to support and fundraise for palliative and end of life care, and grief support. Pals for Palliative will continue and grow in 2026, with more ways to raise funds from hiking, cycling, paddling to baking, quilting and friendly competitions. Watch out for an announcement in Spring 2026!
Learning Opportunities
Throughout the year, Bow Valley Palliative hosts a variety of events, offering opportunities to learn from experts in palliative care and related fields.
Past speakers included Dr. Kathryn Mannix, Dr. Sammy Winemaker, and Dr. Hsien Seow.
Our volunteer training program equips individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide meaningful support to those facing end-of-life challenges.
We also offer extensive Volunteer Training through a combination of guided learning, reflective practice, and hands-on experience. Our volunteers learn how to offer compassionate, respectful, and confidential care.
