Land Acknowledgement

The Palliative Care Society of the Bow Valley recognizes we are situated on the traditional Treaty 7 territory and Métis District 4 within the Battle River Territory. We honour the hearts and footsteps that have crossed these lands for many generations, especially the Îyârhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda) First Nations, including Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney, the Blackfoot Confederacy Nations, including Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai, and the Tsuut’ina First Nation. We also honour Land Spirit itself for protecting, nourishing, and embracing us and for the Indigenous Peoples who have been stewards of and adhere to Natural Law.
